As we welcome a new year, we are thrilled to highlight the significant enhancements we've made in 2024 to further elevate your experience with EBC. Our ongoing mission is to provide both our employers and participants with greater convenience, security, and support in managing benefits. This year, we’ve introduced a variety of new features and improvements aimed at making our benefits experience more accessible and user-friendly for everyone.

Introduction of DocuSign for Streamlined Onboarding
To further streamline our client onboarding process and agreement signing, we’ve integrated DocuSign into our workflows. New clients and employers can now securely and efficiently sign documents electronically, reducing processing time. This improved integration ensures a fast, secure, and user-friendly experience every step of the way.
New Seasonal Toolkit Email Materials for Timely Communications
We always emphasize the importance of employers communicating with participants about their benefits year-round. This year, we added new seasonal emails to our flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) toolkits that will make it easier for employers to send timely, relevant communications throughout the year. These email templates provide useful content on important topics, such as open enrollment reminders, year-end benefit updates, and seasonal expenses that are FSA/HSA eligible. With these seasonal emails, you can help keep your benefit participants informed and engaged year-round without the hassle of coming up with topics and creating content from scratch.

HSA Store Partnership
This summer, we launched our new partnership with the HSA Store, offering an easier way for HSA accountholders who choose to spend their funds on eligible healthcare products and services in a convenient online store. Accountholders who shop at the HSA Store can easily purchase qualified medical items, from prescriptions to over-the-counter products, using their HSA funds. This integration simplifies the purchasing process, offering accountholders convenience and confidence when using their HSA.
The HSA Store partnership is in addition to our partnership with the FSA Store, which offers the same convenient access to eligible purchases for FSA participants. We encourage all participants who wish to spend their benefits funds to find additional information about online retailers that specialize in eligible expenses on our Where to Shop page. This page offers easy access to trusted vendors where participants can purchase eligible products, making it simpler to maximize their benefits and find what they need.
Commuter Benefits: Streamlined Contribution Process
We also enhanced our commuter benefits program by making contribution and eligibility management easier and more efficient. Employers can now submit their employees’ commuter benefits contribution and eligibility data through an electronic data interchange (EDI) file. This new system streamlines the process, reducing administrative work and ensuring that employees have timely access to their commuter benefits.
Security Enhancements for Greater Protection
In our continued effort to provide the highest level of security for our employers and participants, we’ve introduced several key enhancements to further safeguard personal and account information. This year, we implemented new email security protocols to protect against phishing and unauthorized access. In addition, we’ve updated our account security requirements, introducing stricter authentication measures and password policies to better protect your sensitive data. These updates help ensure that your benefits experience remains secure, private, and reliable.
Homepage Website Refresh: Quicker, Easier Access
We’ve given our website a significant refresh to make it even easier for you and your participants to find the most accessed resources. The homepage now features a cleaner design and an intuitive navigation ensuring quick access to the tools and information you need – such as webinars, blogs, compliance resources, and more!
Additionally, we've moved participant support resources for FSA, HSA, HRA, and commuter benefit participants from our website to the main menu in their online account. This centralizes everything in one easy-to-use location, making it easier for participants to manage and learn more about their benefit accounts.
The available resources include FAQs, eligible expense lists, educational videos, Benefits Card information, and more. With these updates, we've prioritized user experience to enhance efficiency and convenience.
