Compatible with HSAs and FSAs

Employers who are interested in enriching their benefits program can design their HRA so that it’s compatible with a health savings account (HSA) and/or health care flexible spending account (FSA). Offering an HRA with an HSA and/or FSA can help participants maximize their savings.

Electronic Data Interchange Options

Set your HRA on auto drive with electronic data interchange (EDI). We have connections with preferred carriers to transfer eligibility data (which reduces the employer’s administration work) and to transfer claim data (which supports an excellent customer experience for participants who do not need to manually submit claims).

Participant Experience

An HRA is a great benefit for participants because it’s fully funded by the employer, and it helps cover out-of-pocket health costs that are not covered by the employer’s insurance plan.

Participants can easily manage their account all day, every day with our mobile app, EBCentral and online account. From either platform, they can view their balance, submit claims for reimbursement, review recent carrier‑fed claims, manage their profile, set up direct deposit, and access additional account details.

Additional Services

Our Compliance Services provide employers with the support they need to meet important regulations. We offer the following add-on services to employers who use EBC to administer other benefit offerings:

  • Wrap plan documents: Wrap your health and welfare benefits into a single plan document and summary plan description (SPD) to simplify administration, combine required notices, and eliminate the need to submit multiple Form 5500s.
  • Form 5500: We prepare your health and welfare benefit plan Form 5500 to meet ERISA reporting requirements. This is included with our health care FSA and is an additional fee for other products.
  • Nondiscrimination testing: We gather information from you and perform the required testing on your behalf. Annual testing is included with our FSA and POP administration and is an additional fee for other products.
