Repaying My Account

If it's my account and my money, why would I need to repay my account?

It's a fair question. There are a few scenarios that are more common than you'd think that could result in you needing to repay your account.

  • You may have been asked to submit documentation to verify the expense is eligible and you haven't done that. If you have the documentation to verify your expense is eligible, it's not too late! Log into your online account and submit the documentation now.
  • If you have submitted documentation, we may have processed it and identified one of the following scenarios.
    • The documentation is missing important information that you haven't followed up with. The documentation needs to include the date of service, a description of the service that shows it's eligible, the name of the provider, and the dollar amount charged.
    • The item is not eligible. We encourage you to visit our Eligible Expenses page to learn more about the kinds of expenses that are eligible for payment from your account.
    • Part of your transaction isn't eligible (like teeth whitening or eyewear warranty/protection plans) . In this situation, it's important to pay attention to the total transaction amount and the amount for which we're asking repayment.

How do I repay my account?

The easiest way to repay is to log into your online account. If we've identified that you need to repay your account, you'll receive a pop-up message when you log in and find a repayment option in the main menu. If you know an expense is ineligible or you do not have proper documentation, you may choose to repay the amount from the Submit Documentation page.
