Renewal

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions.

Q

How do I renew my BESTflex plan?

A

Toward the end of each plan year, Employee Benefits Corporation begins the process of renewing your BESTflex Plan. The renewal process begins about 90 days before the start of your next plan year, which is when you can access Renewal Activation Online, a feature of My Account Administrator that helps ensure a smooth start to your next plan year. It is an easy process that lets you confirm your BESTflex Plan’s renewal, inform us of your current number of eligible employees, and even make changes to your plan design. Once you complete the Renewal Activation Online, we send you your renewal materials and an invoice for your renewal fee.

We also offer an Express Renew feature available using My Account Administrator that allows you to quickly enroll or remove participants from the plan.

Q

How do I renew my EBC HRA?

A

Toward the end of each plan year, Employee Benefits Corporation begins the process of renewing your EBC HRA. The renewal process begins about 75 days before the start of your next plan year, which is when you can access EBC HRA Online Renewal, a feature of My Account Administrator that lets you review, and if necessary, update your current participant data before rolling it into the next plan year. If you do not complete the EBC HRA Online Renewal, you must submit employee data using the Employee Data Listing spreadsheet.

Enrollment information is due 30 days prior to your new plan year or earlier. This timeline is critical if the employees will be using the Benefits Card as there is additional processing time required.

We also offer an Express Renew feature available using My Account Administrator that allows you to quickly renew or remove participants from the plan.

Q

How do I renew my COBRASecure Administration?

A

Employee Benefits Corporation sends you a notification to request updated rates for all of your plans subject to COBRA or State Continuation. This notification is sent two months before the rates are scheduled to renew. You have 30 days after the date of the renewal to submit any rate changes. Submitting rate information ensures timely mailing of Qualified Beneficiary rate change notifications and fewer delays in premium payments. If there are other changes, such as carrier changes, you will need to notify Employee Benefits Corporation to ensure that we have the most current benefit information on file.
