FSA Store FAQs

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions.

Q

What is FSA Store?

A

FSA Store is the one-stop shop for all things FSA. They have the largest inventory of FSA eligible products and services on the web. In fact, they ONLY carry FSA eligible products!

Their competitive pricing and quick turnaround coupled with a website you can trust makes them the source for Flexible Spending Account information and shopping. You can also use your Benefits Card to shop on the site as well as all major credit cards.

Please Note: Although the Benefits Card is accepted, a receipt may be required for your purchase to substantiate the claim. In some instances, additional documentation, such as a prescription, is required. Whenever using the Benefits Card, please remember to save your receipts.

Q

How do I access the FSA Store website?

A

The best way to access FSA Store is to use a discount coupon provided to you by your employer. These are sent to your employer a number of times during the year. Usually these emails contain a discount coupon.

You can also access FSA Store by clicking a "Visit FSA Store" link, like the one to the right, appearing on BESTflex Plan-related pages throughout our website.

Q

Can I create an FSA Store account?

A

Yes. If you decide to create an account on the FSA Store website, there are a few things you need to know.

Like many websites today, when you set up an account on FSA Store, there are many options you can set in order to have the type of experience that suits your needs. Be sure to check the "My Account" settings, after you've setup your account.

In particular, you should review the "My Contact Preferences" section. This allows you to choose whether or not you would like FSA Store to send you special offers or promotions using the email address you've supplied. Additionaly, FSA Store will call you by telephone to notify you of:

  • Special deals and promotions
  • FSA related deadline reminders
  • Order issues and updates

Be aware that Employee Benefits Corporation does not share any of your information, including your email address or phone number or any of your plan information with FSA Store. You must choose to share or not share that information when you create your FSA Store account. This is why it is important that you review all of your FSA Store account settings to determine whether you will receive these notifications.

Q

What does "FSA Eligible" mean?

A

FSA Eligible means that in many cases, the product or service will be covered by your Flexible Spending Account plan. FSA Store is a member of SIGIS and has implemented IIAS standards that supply the list of every product that is FSA eligible. If you use the Benefits Card, the site will process your transaction and instantaneously approve your FSA purchases.

Q

Are all of the site's products FSA eligible?

A

Yes. However, there are certain items that will require additional documentation.

Q

How do I know which items are eligible for FSA reimbursement?

A

Thousands of over-the-counter (OTC) products are FSA eligible and can be purchased using your Benefits Card. However, certain OTC medicines will require a doctor's prescription to be eligible. Since the site only offers FSA Eligible Products, over-the-counter (OTC) products are clearly marked with regard to which items (specifically, those with an active medical ingredient) will require a prescription for eligibility.

FSA eligible products designated with this symbol can be purchased with an FSA card and do not require a prescription to be reimbursed by an FSA

FSA eligible with prescription products designated with this symbol require a prescription to be reimbursed by an FSA.

You can now use your Benefits Card to purchase these items through FSA Store's over-the-counter prescription process.

FSA Store is a member of SIGIS which sets the eligible product list. The FSA icon displayed on the site does not guarantee you will be reimbursed.

Q

What is the shipping policy and what options are offered?

A

All orders will be shipped out within 1-2 business days from the day the order was placed. Any orders placed after 5 p.m. EST will be processed the next business day. While their primary carrier is FedEx, orders may ship from multiple locations and may be delivered via UPS or USPS, depending. Please refer to the Shipping and Returns page at FSA Store for more details. Orders over $50.00 will not incur any shipping charges.

Q

Does FSA Store ship outside the U.S.?

A

No, they currently only ship to physical addresses within the U.S.A. since Flexible Spending Accounts are only offered in the United States.

Q

Will my order be subject to sales tax?

A

Orders Subject to Sales Tax:

FSA Store is required by law to collect sales tax on orders shipping to addresses in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee. The tax calculated for your order will be the combined state and local rate for the zip code to where your order is being shipped.

Self-Reporting State Sales & Use Tax:

They do not collect sales tax on orders shipping outside of the above mentioned states, however, this does not necessarily exempt you from paying a sales or use tax in your state. A purchase is not exempt merely because it was made via the Internet or other remote methods. In particular, the states of Colorado, South Dakota, Oklahoma, and Vermont require the reporting and payment of use tax for out of state untaxed purchases.

For more information on how to file or use tax returns, please visit your state's tax website:

Colorado: Colorado Department of Revenue at www.colorado.gov/revenue
Oklahoma: Oklahoma Tax Commission at www.tax.ok.gov
South Dakota: South Dakota Department of Revenue at www.state.sd.us/drr2/
Vermont: Vermont Department of Taxes' at www.state.vt.us/tax/index.shtml

Q

Can I return my items?

A

Unopened, brand new, unused items are returnable within 30 days of purchase. Because of the nature of the products, regulations will not allow FSA Store to accept any returns of products that have been used, opened, or if the seals have been tampered with in any way.

Here’s how to request a return:

  1. Call or Email FSA Store to Request a Return
    Email: info@fsastore.com
    Phone: (888) FSA-1450 (372-1450)
    (24 Hours a Day/ 7 days a week)
  2. Once your request to return has been approved (usually within 1-2 working days) a customer service representative will email instructions for your return and will provide a pre-paid, FedEx return label.

Please use the return label provided as it correlates to an RA number our system requires (which ensures they quickly and accurately process your return). Original shipping fees are non-refundable. A 10% restocking fee may be deducted from your refund. $7.50 return shipping fee will also be deducted.

Q

Do I have to submit receipts for my purchases at FSA Store?

A

If you do not have a Benefits Card, you can print out a receipt and submit a claim form to get reimbursed as you would normally with all of your FSA purchases. You can print receipts after you make your order, or come back anytime to access your account.

Q

Does FSA Store accept insurance?

A

Most OTC products are not covered by insurance so there is no need for insurance plans to process claims for your purchases. For those home health care products such as wheelchairs and other products that might be covered by insurance, we recommend that you consult your insurance plan to see what might be covered by insurance first.
