Employers who currently offer a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) paired with a high deductible health plan (HDHP) and a Health Savings Account (HSA), or are considering doing so for the upcoming plan year, should pay special attention to the fact that the minimum HDHP deductible limits have changed! In order to maintain HSA compatibility, your HRA may need to be amended for 2020.

HHS Finalizes Several 2019 ACA Plan Parameters

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has finalized maximum out of pocket limits for in-network essential health benefit (EHB) services covered by a health plan for 2019 at $7,900 for single coverage and $15,800 for any coverage other than single plan.
