Risk Management Analyst - 1223

At Employee Benefits Corporation, creating and maintaining meaningful relationships around our trusted brand of “making things easy” for our clients is key to our success. Employee Benefits Corporation is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Risk Management Analyst position. The Risk Management Analyst is responsible for facilitating and executing various aspects of the organization’s risk management program from identification and analysis of potential risk exposure through implementation of controls for risk mitigation. 

More specific responsibilities include:

  • Execute the Compliance and Risk Management program framework, extending processes as necessary to help identify risk and manage mitigation
  • Coordinate and facilitate annual internal and third party business process risk assessment and audit processes, including resulting updates to documentation
  • Conduct periodic internal HIPAA policy compliance audits and communicate findings
  • Maintain processes for and responds to external due diligence and audit requests including corporate, privacy, security requests
  • Track and coordinate periodic reviews of business continuation and incident response plans and maintain changes to the plans
  • Track and maintain active corporate contracts and review contractual compliance requirements on an annual basis
  • Prioritize and assist in maturing practices to identify and analyze potential sources of risk and exposure
  • Develop processes and procedures for successful implementation of new risk policies, practices, and solutions to ensure holistic understanding and management of risks according to industry best practice
  • Recommend and assist in the development and maintenance of business policies in support of business goals
  • Collaborate with management team to provide input into risk management processes and assist in developing controls for risk mitigation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management or a related field
  • Five or more years of experience in risk management or a related field, including audit, compliance, testing and monitoring. 
  • Two or more years of experience communicating with all levels of management regarding risk management issues
  • Demonstrate ability to understand strategic, big picture understanding of environment and controls while focusing on analysis at a detailed level with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions and to manage issues through to resolution
  • Demonstrated experience with handling sensitive and confidential matters with a high degree of judgment, integrity and professionalism
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Possession of valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Risk management certification(s), knowledge of HIPAA and HIPAA data security and/or experience working with reimbursement benefit plans, COBRA or health insurance products strongly preferred
