Product Specialist HSA - 1198

At Employee Benefits Corporation, creating and maintaining meaningful relationships around our trusted brand of “making things easy” for our clients is key to our success. Employee Benefits Corporation is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Product Specialist. The Product Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s Health Savings Account and Debit Card product solutions.  As a subject matter expert on all aspects of these product solutions, the Product Specialist is also responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service, while maintaining compliance with Federal and State regulations.  As the primary point of contact, this role provides ongoing monitoring and operational oversight facilitates issue resolution and participates in implementation and continuous improvement initiatives related to the Health Savings Account and Debit Card products. 

 Specific duties include:

  • Provide customer centric service to internal customers on questions and issues related to client accounts, plan design and plan administration for both employers and participants
  • Act as a point-of-contact for all third party solution providers for client inquiries and client issue escalation
  • Identify customer communication needs
  • Continually review third party solution provider capabilities and identify opportunities for additional advances and efficiency in operational interaction
  • Contribute toward enhancing client experience and process and product improvement through observation, trend identification and customer feedback
  • Reconcile invoices and reports from third parties
  • Safeguard confidentiality, privacy and security of organization and customer private health information (PHI)
  • Develop expert knowledge for the assigned products including product regulations, product design, business processes, vendor technology solutions and internal technology support solutions
  • Maintain current working knowledge on company products, processes and industry best practices, tools and methodologies
  • Conduct ongoing audits and proactively work with internal team members to resolve issues
  • Coordinate support across various stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding of clients to the assigned products
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to proactively identify trends and potential issues
  • Identify root cause of problems, manage and resolve complex issues in a constantly changing technical environment and work creatively to resolve non-technical customer issues
  • Monitor and manage issue reporting and resolution with third parties
  • Provide service level and other management reporting
  • Develop and implement processes to resolve gaps in workflow effectiveness and increase product growth and customer satisfaction
  • In partnership with the Executive Vice President of Operations, establish annual goals and develop reporting to measure effectiveness
  • Communicate and reinforce changes in operational policies and procedures
  • Assist in the implementation of software releases
  • Train departments impacted by software updates
  • Recommend project priorities and adhere to deadlines
  • Develop and deliver training on integrated product solutions to employees
  • Support corporate objectives to increase product adoption
  • Perform other duties as requested

 Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in Business or related field (which may be substituted by four years directly related experience or a combination of education and experience). Minimum of three years’ experience working with pre-tax benefit plans.

Other qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated ability to build, sustain and foster relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Proven knowledge of project management, implementation theory and methodologies
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, utilizing proper grammar, syntax and excellent business acumen
  • Excellent problem solving skills, and highly adaptable
  • Self-motivated, able to learn quickly and research issues independently and with limited direction
  • Intermediate working proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and basic working proficiency with Microsoft Power Point
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to an outside client, meeting or conference, requiring some overnight stays
  • Possession of valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
